For many years, I’ve dreamed of establishing a home design company; pulling ideas from my extensive global travel during which I immersed myself fully in the local design languages. The humbling experience of accepting and becoming accepted in each new land taught me something my preceding formal education could not: that each local custom carries a unique application of the universal design principles: flow, negative space, and contrast. It is my belief that all humans are born with an innate gift, to know what looks good and what doesn’t. It’s nearly universal. Somewhere between Hong Kong, France, Denmark, Japan, Sweden, Singapore, Spain, Indonesia, Italy, and countless others, I began to understand why. More importantly, I learned how to apply those respective design languages in concert to create a design that feels like home, no matter where home may be.
We moved to the US in 2010 and after spending some time studying the market conditions, I realized that there was a significant need for visualizing what a home could look like for new home buyers. At the time we started the staging business, we were considered pioneers in the field and as such needed to convince owners and real estate agents of the true value of our services. Today, the type of service we deliver has become a must to create the best possible value for a seller and a perfect opportunity to show prospective buyers what their dream home could look like.
